The Opportunity
Video Gaming cards are created with high performance to
deliver stunning images for realistic game playing. The $19B personnel
computer gaming and $11.6B high performance computing
markets
continue to drive the hardware innovation in an exponential manner. A
video card compromises of hundreds of small processors that make up a graphics processing unit (GPU).
When compared in terms of mathematical computational power, a GPU outperforms
a central processing unit (CPU)
due to its massively parallel approach to computing. This opens up
an opportunity of using
innovation in hardware designed for video gaming to be used outside of
gaming application.
KJAYA
The founder recognized the gaming processing
power capability back in 2000 and ventured in to building software around this
technology. A new multi processor concept such as GPU is useless unless there are
software applications written for it. We have built software primitives
to take advantage of GPU processing power. We also built server hardware
with GPU computing capability using off-the-shelf components. Using both these foundations, KJAYA is
geared to developing and marketing high speed innovative applications that
are not feasible before. The first to enjoy this new fast computing platform is
the medical imaging markets.
